Smriti Mishra

Co-founder of SoCal STEM Scholars

Hello! My name is Smriti Mishra and I am the Co-founder of SoCal STEM Scholars. I am a current Junior at Portola High School and have a deep passion for science! I am also the lead director of the summer program department and hope to foster passion between education and our youth!

I have experience in many STEM fields such as Biology, Earth Science, Engineering, and more. I am involved in Science Olympiad and have competed in events such as Experimental Design, Dynamic Planet, Meteorology, Crime Busters, Astronomy, Fossils, and Rocks and Minerals.

At SoCal STEM Scholars, I am the head director of Biology, Earth Science, and Advanced Physics divisions.

Hello! My name is Raiva Desai and I am a high school student with a strong passion for both biology and chemistry, developed through participating in many science fair projects and multiple Life Science competitions.

Through SoCal STEM Scholars, I want to teach important topics like human anatomy and genetics to chemical reactions and molecular structure.

My goal is to make science feel less overwhelming by breaking down complex topics into ways that are both clear and interesting to learn!
