Smriti Mishra

Founder of SoCal Stem Scholars

Hello! My name is Smriti Mishra and I am the founder of SoCal Stem Scholars. I am a current Freshman at Portola Highschool and have a deep passion for science!

I have experience in many STEM fields such as Earth Science, Life Science, Engineering, and more. I am involved in Science Olympiad and have competed in events such as Experimental Design, Dynamic Planet, Meteorology, Crime Busters, Astronomy, Fossils, and Rocks and Minerals.

At SoCal Stem Scholars, I am the lead director and mentor of the Earth Science, Astronomy, and Advanced Physics division.

I am so excited to meet all of you and for a great season of enriched science exploration.

Hello! My name is Raiva Desai and I am a high school student with a strong passion for both biology and chemistry, developed through participating in many science fair projects and multiple Life Science competitions.

Through SoCal Stem Scholars, I want to teach important topics like human anatomy and genetics to chemical reactions and molecular structure.

My goal is to make science feel less overwhelming by breaking down complex topics into ways that are both clear and interesting to learn!
